Saturday afternoon we’ll be doing our monthly Hangout. This month we’ll be discussing Star Wars: Scoundrels by Timothy Zahn.
After the show, I’ll announce our book of the month for May.
Hint: It’s American Gods by Neil Gaiman.
That wasn’t really much of…

You might have been expecting the latest episode of the Jittery Robot Book Club this weekend. Don’t worry, it’ll be posted soon. I just need to record a little more and do the final edits.
The delay is because I’m releasing this months episode as both…

I keep getting messages from tumblr saying This blog’s theme has been reset because we detected suspicious code, and my theme gets reset to the default setting(as you can see right now).
If that’s not the case, then I’m being forced to reset my password every time I make an audio post…and then my theme gets reset again.
I created this account, because I was having the same problems on my other account, and Tumblr Support had no idea why. Now that I’ve been dealing with the same issues on this account, I’m being told that it’s the custom HTML I’m using, or the theme I’m using, or the browser I’m using, or the computer I’m using. Which is funny because I’ve used three different computers (two Macs and one PC), three different browsers (Chrome, Safari, and IE), I’ve stopped adding custom HTML, and have tried various different themes (even a few paid themes on my other account) and the issue persists. Support tried to recreate the issue I’m having, but they can’t replicate it, so they don’t know what to tell me.
It’s frustrating, because I was hoping to use Tumblr as our primary blog again, but it doesn’t look like that’ll be in the cards until this bug gets fixed.
Has anyone else been having this problem?

Happy Pi-Day!
Well…belated 3.14 day.
By the time you hear this it’ll be the 18th…at least!
Anyway, we’d just like to thank Google for providing another quality sounding recording. Some day in the future, those Google Hangouts with be GREAT for podcasting, but in the present, not so much.
Oh, and before I forget to mention, as if I ever could, this episode is brought to you by Audible.com. Get your free audiobook by signing up at www.audibletrial.com/JitteryRobot. But, you already listened to the first 30 seconds of the show, and knew that already, didn’t you?
Anyway, enjoy the show!

In this episode we talk about Gun Machine by Warren Ellis.
Next month we’re going to review Redshirts by John Scalzi, on April 6th. You can get the audiobook of either Gun Machine or Redshirts for free if you sign up for a trial subscription at Audible by using this link here: www.audibletrial.com/JitteryRobot
As you can see, we’re trying to come up with a proper format for these book club episodes. We’ll be meeting weekly between now and the next episode, so hopefully we’ll have something with a little more structure then.
Also, don’t forget to join our page on Goodreads! We’re looking at getting some audience participation in future episodes, and Goodreads looks like it might be the way to go to make that happen.
With that in mind, we’ll see you next month!

As the title suggests, we spend a good portion of the show talking about movies based on public domain type properties, technology turning society into cyborgs, and the death of yet another comic book sidekick. I feel the need to point out there will be spoilers in this podcast, but thanks to the news papers revealing that the latest Robin died, is there even a point?
